ESD Wrist straps

ESD wrist straps are used for the continuous, controlled discharge of electrostatic charges from the human body to earth potential. They are a central element of personal protective equipment within electrostatically protected areas (EPA) in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1.

A correctly worn and low-impedance connected combination of wrist strap and connection cable ensures that the person's potential is kept at earth potential.

This significantly reduces the risk of electrostatic discharge to electrostatic sensitive devices (ESDS) and increases process safety.
