Diagonal cutting pliers 7803125 ESD

The KNIPEX Side Cutter 7803125 ESD is a highly precise plier, specifically designed for the finest cutting tasks in electronics and precision mechanics. This precision plier is made of stainless steel and offers effective ESD protection through its electrically dissipative handles against uncontrolled electrostatic discharge, complying with the strict standards IEC TR 61 340-5, DIN EN 61 340-5, and SP Method 2472.
The cutting edges are ground without a bevel, allowing for flush cutting, and the hardness of the edges is approximately 54 HRC. The side cutter features a shear cutting function with controlled micro-edge offset, ensuring a long lifespan and an ultra-precise cut even of the thinnest wires. The precisely formed tips allow for accurate cutting of adjacent wires from a diameter of 0.2 mm.
With a length of 125 mm and a weight of only 55 g, the plier is extremely lightweight and allows for fatigue-free operation thanks to its very smooth action. It is equipped with a spring opening and opening limitation, which further contributes to ease of handling. The head shape is angled, and the surface of the tool is polished, enhancing durability and resistance to corrosion.

Extremely sharp cutting edges

The Knipex Electronic Super Knips are made of surgical steel (INOX steel). The cutting edges are ground without a bevel for flush cutting. The burnished versions are made of tool steel.

Thanks to the precisely machined tips, even fine wires, e.g. on housings and components, can be cut precisely.

Working with dexterity: light weight and easy movement

When working on electronic components and in precision mechanics, dexterity is required. Thanks to the frictionless torsion spring, the Knipex Electronic Super Knips is so smooth-running that the force can be very finely dosed - with fingertip sensitivity. The opening spring and opening limiter make work even easier.

ESD protection against uncontrolled electrostatic discharge
Sudden discharges due to electrostatic charge differences are particularly feared in electronics. With the pliers, electrostatic energy is dissipated evenly and in a controlled manner via the handles. The handles are conductive - i.e. not voltage-insulating - and therefore enable slow charge equalization. With ESD protection through dissipative discharge, the Knipex Electronic Super Knips meets the requirements of your workplace.

The design with integrated wire clamp prevents wire sections from jumping off in an uncontrolled manner: a safety aspect, especially when cutting wires that are located in housings with electronic assemblies.
