ESD safety shoe uvex 1 x-cite
The ESD safety shoe uvex 1 x-cite combines style and functionality for a variety of work environments, from offices to production facilities. This shoe from the uvex 1 x-cite series has been awarded the German Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award 2025, highlighting its outstanding design and innovation.The shoes are made of hydrophobic smooth leather and feature a breathable textile lining and a metal-free, textile puncture-resistant layer. The toe cap is made of plastic with carbon, while the polyurethane outsole is antistatic, heat-resistant up to 120°C, oil and fuel resistant, and offers excellent slip resistance.
The shoes are lightweight, flexible, and ESD-certified, ensuring protection against electrostatic discharge. They are certified according to DGUV 112-191 for orthopedic inserts and focus on sustainability with partially recycled materials and a CO2 footprint of 10.64 kg. They are available in sizes 34 to 44 and in black color.

ESD approved
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 105 to 3.5 x 107 ohms.
Safety class S3L
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant textile insole (tested with a 4.5 mm test nail with at least 1100 N pressure), a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SR
The shoe is slip-resistant on ceramic tile floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Metal-free
The shoe is completely metal-free. It is made of textile material and plastic elements (protective toe cap, eyelets, etc.).
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
The DGUV Rule 112-191 defines how foot and knee protection must be properly used – particularly with regard to orthopedic insoles in safety shoes. Only safety shoes that are certified according to this rule may be fitted with custom insoles without impairing their protective function. This ensures that the safety features of the footwear remain fully intact.
