Built-in ionizers are permanently installable ionization systems for the continuous neutralization of electrostatic charges in production processes. They are integrated directly into machines, production systems or workstations and thus enable precise ionization at critical process points.
They are used in particular in electrostatically protected areas (EPA) where non-conductive materials are processed or sensitive electronic components are handled. Ionization helps to eliminate charge imbalances on surfaces and specifically minimize the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD).
Through targeted and permanent ionization, built-in ionizers support the standard-compliant implementation of ESD protection measures and contribute to process safety. Regular testing of the ionization performance is recommended in accordance with IEC 61340-5-1.
